The Original Pancake House was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953 by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke. The Original Pancake House is a second and third generation family business, which takes great pride in maintaining the high standards that make our food so outstanding. There are now over one hundred franchises from coast to coast, which have won local and national acclaim. Our recipes demand only the very finest of ingredients, such as 93 score butter, pure 36% whipping cream, fresh grade AA eggs, hard wheat unbleached flour, and our own recipe sourdough starter. Our batters and sauces are made fresh in each restaurant’s kitchen. My husband prefers the pigs in a blanket but everything is amazing! The home fries are delicious and the biscuits and gravy are very good as well. All of our original recipes are hand prepped from scratch with only fresh ingredients. We can accommodate most of our guest’s custom requests, special needs, or new ideas.
I just wish I could afford to eat here everyday!!! If you're looking for a good place to dine in at this is definitely your place. Try and sit in Michelle's area she will take care of you like your the only person there.

I ordered the eggs royale, it was PERFECT! My friend ordered the classic eggs benedict also AMAZING! In Rockville MD Michelle was an excellent server!!! Facility was clean and up to COVID rules!
They never expire and we never charge usage fees. Gift cards can be used at all of our restaurants. Our full menu is available for takeout and delivery 7 days a week. Haven't been here in years....but always a great experience. I had Bacon waffle and extra side of bacon....asked for box before I even started to eat as knew I would only be able to eat 1/2 of it.
